The Hillsdale County Sheriff’s
Office is committed to serving the
residents of Hillsdale County by
providing quality law enforcement
services. To achieve our goal
aimed at quality community oriented
policing services, our office has
numerous divisions in place to detect,
deter and eliminate criminal activity in
Hillsdale County. To accomplish
this task while carrying out the mission
of this office, Sheriff Burchardt relies
on the professional services of many
divisions to get the job done.
Regardless if it is on the water, on the
road or in a field, the men and women
bearing the brown uniform and carrying
on the tradition of the Office of
Sheriff are ready and prepared to serve
you!
The divisions listed in this section represent some of
the most highly qualified, skilled and
tactically sound police officers within
Hillsdale County and the State of
Michigan. Deputies have logged in
thousands of hours at various trainings,
seminars, field exercises, combat
scenarios and special operations all in
an effort to keep our community safe!
Drug officers and Detectives are working
in your community to keep dangerous
drugs and drug dealers from infiltrating
our schools, playgrounds and youth
activity centers. We are committed
to stopping the dangerous manufacturing
of meth and other illegal drugs which
threaten the safety and security of
community.
Our internet safety division was launched to teach
children about the dangers that await
them on the internet. We encourage
you and your children to sit down and
take the online tutorial on how you can
detect and report an online predator.
We have joined a partnership with the
National Center for Missing & Exploited
Children to move our message forward
about these dangers to our homes and
community. We feel that early
detection is early prevention and that
starts with the many safety programs we
offer at our community schools including
Eddie the Eagle gun safety and stranger
danger.
